The most considerable solid waste from crude palm oil plants is oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) which contains cellulose, lignin, and hemicellulose. Hemicellulose can be hydrolyzed to xylose and then converted to furfural via dehydration. Pretreatment is one of the steps in the bioconversion of lignocellulose material to reduce lignin. This study developed a one-pot process to conduct pretreatment and furfural production simultaneously.

Synbiotic Application To Enhance Growth, Immune System, And Disease Resistance Toward Bacterial Infection In Catfish (Clarias Gariepinus)

This research comprehensively evaluated the additional extract of Solanum ferox (SFE) and probiotic Lactobacillus casei (LC) on catfish (Clarias gariepinus var.) feed to enhance growth, feed efficiency, and resistance toward Aeromonas hydrophila and Pseudomonas fluorescens bacterial infection.

Physiological Response and Detection of Inh2 Gene in Dieng Red Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) Affected by Frost

2024-01-26T18:20:53+07:00June 28th, 2022|Articles, Publications|

In this study, the response of Dieng red potato plants to frost exposure was evaluated physiologically by testing electrolyte leakage and chlorophyll content, and molecularly by detection of Inh2 gene. The physiological response shows an increased electrolyte leakage rate and a significant decrease in chlorophyll content in plants exposed to frost compared to those grown in normal temperatures.

Self-collected Gargle Specimen as a Patient-friendly Sample Collection Method for COVID-19 Diagnosis in a Population Context.

Scaling up SARS-CoV-2 testing and tracing continues to be plagued with the limitation of the sample collection method, which requires trained healthcare workers to perform and causes discomfort to the patients. In response, we assessed the performance and user preference of gargle specimens for qRT-PCR-based detection of SARS-CoV-2 in Indonesia.
